The 2026 Ten Thousand Egrets gathering happens at Taixing, Meishan, Chiayi, from August to October, at its best between 3pm and dusk. The most comfortable way to watch is from Xinchun Tea House: NT$150 per person with parking, toilets, shaded seating and cold-brew high-mountain tea, staying until the flock disperses; add a 90-minute guided walk for NT$450.
